OR Nurse LAPAROSCOPIC UROLOGY COURSE

4 - Day course

May  5 - 8, 2025

Laparoscopic surgery has revolutionized modern urology, offering minimally invasive techniques that reduce patient recovery time, minimize complications, and improve surgical outcomes. As key members of the surgical team, Operating Room (OR) nurses play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of these procedures. The OR Nurse Laparoscopic Urology Course is designed to equip OR nurses and surgical assistants with essential knowledge and hands-on experience in laparoscopic instrumentation, OR setup, and surgical assistance. Through a combination of theoretical sessions, simulated exercises, and live tissue practice, participants will develop the technical skills and confidence needed to support laparoscopic urological procedures effectively.

This four-day intensive program provides a structured learning experience covering fundamental laparoscopic principles, anesthesia considerations, infection control, and teamwork dynamics in the OR. Practical training includes instrument handling, suturing techniques, and the use of laparoscopic equipment such as electrosurgical and ultrasonic devices. By the end of the course, participants will have a solid foundation in laparoscopic surgery, enhanced technical abilities, and improved coordination with surgeons and the OR team, ensuring optimal patient care in urological procedures.
